- Confirm current KLIK5U availability and compatibility with the installed opener or receiver.
- Have the official KLIK5U programming chart available for the exact opener family.
Programming sequence
Follow these steps
Identify the opener family
Use the brand, opener controls, and active receiver to choose the correct family in the official KLIK5U instructions.
Set the Clicker remote
Open the KLIK5U cover and follow the official chart to select the remote button and opener-family setting.
Run the manufacturer-specific button sequence
Use the official branch for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman, Genie, Overhead Door, or the other supported system you confirmed.
Test the remote
Close the remote cover, stand clear of the door, and confirm that the programmed button completes a normal door cycle.
Troubleshooting
If it does not work
- Recheck the opener family and repeat only that branch of the official chart.
- Confirm that the opener was made after 1993 and has working photo-eye safety sensors.
- If a separate receiver is installed, identify and program to that receiver rather than the original opener.
